[...] This news is only tangentially related to Canadian television. Dog City (1992-95), one of Nelvana’s better 1990s shows, is an indirect spinoff of the Dog City special. I have pondered whether the Dog City series will see release. [...]

Even though this show and its fans were mistreated and abused by lifetime it continues to gain fans through word of mouth. It was a great show that was canceled before it's time. It gave a new twist to the usual tried and true whiny vampires, Henry had learned to live with what he was and embraced it.

This show does well because the chemistry between the leads is fantastic. The show was funny, camp, and dramatic when it had to be. Early on in the show we here in the states heard that when it premiered in Canada that women audibly gasped when they first saw Henry, that's good enough for me. lol. If I hadn't seen it before that would have certainly piqued my curiosity.

The actors were so good at what they were doing with the characters they made us believe they were indeed who they were acting to be. The nicest surprise was Kyle Schmid, he was only 22 when he started filming, yet he made us all believe he was a 450 year-old vampire, he was that good!

I don't recall any other show that I've EVER watched that I got so addicted to that I would have gone to the trouble of writing postcards, letters, call the network, etc. just to try to save it.

If you don't buy but one DVD this year, buy this one. You'll find it's well worth your money.

[...] Canadian TV-on-DVD Roundup (August 14, 2009) “Little Mosque on the Prairie’s second season on DVD September 15, 2009 through Paradox Entertainment Group/E1 Entertainment. I guess Morningstar Entertainment lost DVD rights for the show. E1 is a better label, anyway. The set includes a Dan Redican commentary track, among other random extras.” Read more.
