Twitter Weekly Updates for 2010-01-10
- Carlawood's an ever-popular (within reason) URBMN search term? Why? There are that many people interested in Carla Collins' ego stroke? #
- @weinmanj I've never understood why the most fleshed-out characters on The Cleveland Show are the bears, and they're stand-ins for ethnics. in reply to weinmanj #
- Finally reviewing some shows again. 18 to Life on the way. Man, I wish I was making money; this URBMN gig feels like wolk 85% of the time. #
- Sorry…CBC Television needs a host for The World This Hour: http://ow.ly/SOJS #
- @nickboldt The last twenty minutes were okay, but didn't make up for that Dragonball Z nonsense with the Master. Won't miss Davies at all. in reply to nickboldt #
- @nickboldt True, but my real problem was the waste of Rassilon. It's like Davies just picks references out of a hat regardless of continuity in reply to nickboldt #
- @nickboldt I mean, I've seen "The Five Doctors." That Rassilon is not to be screwed with. Here, it's Timothy Dalton being portentous. #
- @TVDoneWright I assume someone like Evan Bourne or Chris Jericho's going to lose to Shatner, then? Shatner has a win over the Roadie. in reply to TVDoneWright #
- @TVDoneWright Alright, not a win (the match was Bret Hart/Jeff Jarrett), but Road Dogg did have to sell for Shatner. #
- Jan. 8, Shania Twain hosts CBC Radio's The Current, interviewing Queen Rania of Jordan about underprivileged youth organization 1Goal. O_o #
- Reading the Wired interview with John K., he seems subdued. I almost expect Kricfalusi to rant against the industry at the drop of a HAT. #
- I hope John K. sells a show to [adult swim], though he's been hocking He-Hog for a decade+. His legacy shouldn't end w/Ren & Stimpy on Spike #
- Also nice to see John K. give props to other animators. The Wired interview caters to his favourite topics, but the int is almost optimistic #
- Am I the only one not looking forward to Republic of Doyle? I'll probably talk about it for URBMN, but damn me, I do not understand the hype #
- @carolinegodin Searching 'Discovery Health Canada' on Google: "TVtropolis is the home of back-to-back, recent iconic TV hits." My word. in reply to carolinegodin #
- @weinmanj What, including the horror comics? I bet there aren't a lot of people that remember Harvey once published non-kid comics. in reply to weinmanj #
- @weinmanj In 90, there wasn't a comparable lot of 80s TV to revive, with many 80s warhorses eg Dallas, Knots Landing, Cheers – still active. in reply to weinmanj #
