REVIEW FOR JANUARY TWENTIETH, TWO THOUSAND FOUR

FLAK YOU NOT #19
NEWSLETTER, 2003

Flak You Not #18 came out in 2001.  When did I get issue #19, you ask?  December 2003.  Don't even ask.  Like the masthead says, "at least it's out."  Anyway, Flak You Not is a newsletter, here six pages of more than fifty reviews.  The layout's cut and paste but readable and legible.  To be honest, I've always liked "Rosster's" reviews.  They're short but they get right to the point and feature a lot of obscure and not-so-obscure bands.  It shouldn't take two years to put out a six-page newsletter (I mean, Teufel's Tomb has a better track record) but I understand where Rosster's coming from.  Personally, for a free newsletter this isn't bad at all.  I'm not one for "The Aggressor's" reviews (he of the overreactive TRUE METAL mold) and "Mista Sasha's" presence is limited to, um, three reviews.  Still, Flak You Not has been around since the mid-1990's and I've always been partial to the newsletter.  Issue #19 of Flak You Not is a fitting end to a decent publication.  I think Rosster's only sending this issue out to the bands he reviews, so if you want a copy of FYN #19 let me know and I'll send the fucker out to ya.  As always, photocopy this bastard out...unless you hate Flak You Not, in which case I feel sorry for you.  Poseur.
